EmX Wins International Award
These aren’t the yellow buses you used to ride to school.The Lane Transit District’s EmX, a pioneer in American full bus rapid transit, has joined international ranks.
The bus system received honorable mention in the 2008 Sustainable Transportation Awards by the Institute for Transportation and Development Policy.
The EmX was the only U.S. project to receive recognition for 2008. Transits in Guatemala and Colombia also received honorable mention, while transports serving Paris and London nabbed the highest awards.
